New Feature: Duplicate a Draft Block!

6 September, 2026

Wow team! We had an incredible week, gathering a total of nine pull requests in just the last 7 days! 🙌

Here’s a recap of what we accomplished together:

  1. Fixing Warnings and Bugs:
    • We’ve successfully handled multiple issues:
      • Ignored more warnings from QtWaylandClient to ensure smoother operation.
      • Fixed issues with suffix preferences which enhances our user interface.
      • Resolved a critical bug by rejecting duplicate group names during inline rename – no more confusion in our user experience! (#issue-1682)
      • Corrected the writing of the formula/radius to the right attribute in vpattern.cpp, which is crucial for accurate calculations. (#issue-1679)
      • Optimized font comboboxes on MacOS so we provide a consistent and user-friendly experience across platforms.
      • Ensured our Move tool does not inadvertently move the rotation point, addressing a long-standing issue (#issue-853).
  2. New Features:
    • We’ve introduced exciting new functionalities:
      • The ability to duplicate a draft block, which will save users time and improve their workflow.
      • Decoupled point/object names from internal formula references, allowing for better manageability of the codebase without affecting user experience. (#issue-1678)
  3. Community Engagement:
    • We took the time to update our contributors list, celebrating the hard work of every participant and reflecting our growing community.

This impressive collective effort shows our dedication to continuous improvement and collaboration! Your hard work not only enhances our project but also contributes to a more efficient and enjoyable experience for our users. Let’s keep this momentum going and continue to make great strides together! 🚀💪

Keep it up! We’re making a difference, one pull request at a time! 🥳

Cheers,
