Last Week’s Achievements
Latest Code Developments
26 November 2024
What an incredible week we had! Over the past 7 days, we received nine pull requests that have significantly contributed to the ongoing development of the Seamly2D project. Each contribution plays a vital role in enhancing our software and improving the user experience. Here’s a breakdown of what we accomplished:
-
Fixed bounding boxes of exported SVG pattern pieces: We resolved an issue that was affecting the accuracy of exported SVG files. This means users can now expect precise representation of their pattern pieces.
-
Removed minimum point name font size when zooming: A bug fix that ensures point names remain legible regardless of the zoom level, greatly enhancing usability for those who work with intricate designs.
-
Added color attribute to point on curve tools: This new feature adds more flexibility and visual clarity for users, allowing them to customize and differentiate points with color, enhancing the design process.
-
Removed union tool retain pieces option: We streamlined this tool based on user feedback, making it simpler and more efficient to use, allowing designers to work faster.
-
Fixed XML tag order: An essential fix that ensures proper data structure and integrity when exporting and importing projects, promoting a smoother workflow.
-
Eliminated compiler warnings: Addressing compiler warnings not only cleans up our code but also ensures a more reliable and maintainable codebase.
-
Fixed grainline arrows: We resolved issues with grainline arrows that ensure they are displayed correctly, which is crucial for designers when laying out fabric.
-
Fixed draggable menu items in pattern pieces & preference dialogs: This fix enhances the interactivity of our user interface, improving user experience when navigating through tools and options.
-
Fixed position option in edit fx dialog: This ensures that users can accurately set positions in the edit dialog, further refining the design capabilities of our application.
Letβs take a moment to appreciate all the hard work and dedication that went into these contributions.
Every detail counts, and your efforts really do make a difference!
Keep this momentum going, and letβs aim to build upon these achievements in the coming weeks.
Together, we are shaping Seamly2D into a powerful tool for everyone in the community!
